It's an exceptional opportunity to get your hands on an awesome Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade then is as close to being BSB ready as you can get. There's nothing that hasn't been re-worked in the pursuit of race perfection. Supplied by us here at Doble Motorcycles from new, it is a genuine 1 owner machine with only 9100 miles on the clock. His keenness and drive is certainly apparent when you see it in the flesh, which we'd heavily recommend, not only that it's pretty obvious when you see what's been done and spent on it.
HM Racing and T3 Racing have both been involved significantly in the creation of this track race project. T3 have flowed and skimmed the head and installed Kent cams with an obligatory K&N air cleaner and Samco hoses. With HM installing the Ohlins rear shock absorber, Ohlins fork internals, Bazazz Traction Control unit with switchable maps, Power commander and Quickshifter. All tuned with a full carbon-fibre stubby race-pipe from Akrapovic.
The standard set of wheels have gone and replaced with a pair of gold anodized OZ wheels, with the rear one being a one-off, tailor made one specifically for this machine. While the wheels were being installed, the bearings were replaced with a lightweight ceramic set. It now has a new Brembo rear brake caliper with under-slung caliper mounting kit and Brembo M4 Monoblocks with HEL braided brake lines and new fully floating brake discs with Harris front brake protector. The front brake master cylinder matches the rest by being replaced with a Brembo RC519 as well.
As with any competent race bike, the owner has installed an active quick-action throttle and replaced the standard steering damper with a GPR Stabilizer damper. The chain is a DID 2-Xtreme chain with 520 conversion with light-weight chain adjusters and the pegs have been binned in favour of a set of SES rearsets.
The owner has fitted it with a light-weight, complete race fairing body-kit, Stomp knee pads and an IOM TT specification screen blade. Although any design is very much a personal thing, as you can see this one has been tastefully re-finished in a bespoke Honda wing design with traditional Castrol pan and HRC logos. The power-plant has a set of GB Racing engine case protectors in place, just in case it ever meets the tarmac.
On the front end, the handle bars are clip on race-straights from Renthal with a pair of Renthal soft grips and complimenting short, adjustable, ASV levers with a Harris racing brake lever shield. And for when you're not testing out what it can do round the track, you have a set of R&G paddock stand bobbins in place and stand lifters for standing it up on.
As you can see, it really is a one-off and wants for nothing. It could well be your opportunity to bag a bargain race-ready machine at a keen price compared to the £35k it cost to create.
